Get a $7,500 Buyers Credit* to be used toward closing costs, discount points, prepaids (insurances and taxes), down payment, and other allowable borrower-paid costs if eligible and buyer meets these requirements:
- Purchase a home with a mortgage from VCNB.
- Home must be in a majority minority census tract.
- Property MUST be used as primary residence.

Find a Lender
*Available on primary residence first lien purchases only. The property that secures the loan must be located in a majority minority census tract in the Columbus (OH) Metropolitan Statistical Area and the property must be used as the borrower’s primary dwelling. To qualify, the loan must fund with Vinton County National Bank (VCNB). For qualifying loans, VCNB will apply the buyer’s credit, at the borrower’s election, to these categories of expenses: closing costs, discount points, prepaids (insurances and taxes), down payment, and other allowable borrower-paid costs. No cash will be paid to the borrower through closing, and no cash back will be returned to the borrower other than paid earnest deposit or inspections. The borrower’s credit will be reflected as a lender credit. Additional terms, conditions, limitations, and qualifications may apply. All lending products are subject to credit application and approval; not all applicants will qualify. VCNB may change or discontinue the Homebuyer Credit Program or any portion of it without notice.
FHA Loans
With lower down payment options, flexible loan terms, and less restrictive credit requirements than a traditional loan, Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loans have long been an attractive option for first-time homebuyers.
FHA loans can also be used to refinance a home or for qualified homebuyers with limited down payment funds.

USDA Loans
The USDA Loan is a mortgage option available to some rural and suburban homebuyers. USDA Home Loans are issued by qualified lenders and guaranteed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
USDA Home Loans are particularly favorable to those living in rural or low-income areas. USDA Loans offer no money down, lenient eligibility requirements and competitive interest rates - due to the loan being guaranteed by the USDA.
USDA mortgages stand alone as the only mainstream no money down program available to borrowers that have not served in the military.

VA Loans
For eligible veterans and military personnel
The Veterans Administration (VA) sponsors government insured mortgage loans that can be used to purchase or refinance a home. VA loans are attractive for their flexibility and for loan options with no down payment and no private mortgage insurance. VA mortgage interest rates also tend to be lower. VA loans must be used for a purchase or a refinance of a primary residence.

- W2s from all employers for the past two years
- Names and addresses of each employer for the past two years
- Pay stubs for most recent full month
- Residence addresses for the past two years
