Manage Your Time Better With These VCNB Tools!

Let’s talk time management. Whether you’re an old pro looking for new ideas or a procrastinator who needs to learn the basics, we think we can help. After all, managing money is an important task but it can also be stressful and time consuming. That’s why we work to give you the tools to make banking and money that much easier.

Know How Much You Have

The quickest and easiest route to knowing how much money is in your account is on the screen in front of you. Our mobile app is a must-have if you like to use a mobile device and our Online Banking is the place for you if you prefer the full screen of a computer. Both are easy to use and give you a snapshot of account balances as well as a host of other tools you will love.

Another fantastic way to do this is with Account Alerts. With this tool, you can set an alert for specific reasons like when your balance drops below a certain amount, when a direct deposit is made, or when a loan payment is due.

Find VCNB Mobile in the app store of your mobile device. Sign into Online Banking at VCNBfamily.bank. Keep reading to learn more ways that our mobile app and online banking will help you!

Save Money

Saving money is vital. Whether for an emergency fund, a fabulous vacation, or that big bill you pay annually, it’s important to make saving money a consistent habit. One way to assure this is done is by treating your savings like a bill and setting up automatic transfers. Just choose the day and amount you wish to transfer from your checking to your savings account. You can set up these transfers as a one -time activity or as an ongoing automatic activity so you just know it’s done on time.

Another way to help yourself is by having more than one savings account. Keep emergency fund savings in a separate account from your fun savings. This way you are less likely to dip into your emergency fund for a frivolous expense.

Pay Bills

Do you ever pay a bill late? Do you struggle to keep track of when things are due? Address this by using Online Bill Pay. You can schedule a bill for one payment at a time or schedule a bill to pay automatically for as long as you wish. Setting up automatic payments guarantees that the bill will be paid on time.  Plus, logging in to pay each bill as needed is such a quick process you may not feel the need to procrastinate!

Deposit Money

We will never discourage you from visiting one of our bank lobbies but we are realists. We understand that your schedule is jam packed so we make it possible to deposit money by a few routes:

  • At the ATM – deposit cash and checks in just a few seconds at the ATM
  • Express Drop – Each of our branches has an Express Drop Box where you can leave deposits for the tellers to handle later. A deposit before 4 p.m. Monday through Friday will be credited on that business day. Deposits made after 4 p.m. and on weekends will be credited the next business day.
  • With your mobile device – If you have a check to deposit, just log into VCNB Mobile on your phone. From here, you’ll be able to deposit a check with images of the check and a few taps on the screen.

Other Time Savers

  • Get electronic statements through our app and website rather than wait for the mailed version.
  • Open accounts, apply for loans and learn about products online and with our app. While you may wish to sit down with a banker to do your banking, it can be reassuring to read up on the accounts you’re interested in before going.
  • Sometimes being prepared is the best way to manage your time. Be sure to have a couple of forms of payment available when you’re out and about. Your debit card may be your preferred form of payment but consider carrying another card and some cash as well. You never know when technical problems will prevent you from using a card at the register.
  • Mobile Wallet is another great way to pay in some situations. Keep your VCNB debit and credit card information stored in the mobile wallet on your smart phone. This way, you won’t need to carry a card and it can be used easily at many retailers and for safe online transactions as well.
